    Launched in 2023, the Daniel Weller series is an experimental exploration into the impact of diverse wheat strains on its distinguished bourbons. This line takes inspiration from and is dedicated to Daniel Weller, a pioneer in the Weller family. Serving as a captivating extension of the original wheated bourbon brand, it showcases Buffalo Trace Distillery's dedication to innovation while paying homage to an American whiskey trailblazer – Daniel Weller, the grandfather of William Larue Weller. Daniel transmitted the family's distilling traditions, laying the foundation for subsequent generations of whiskey enthusiasts.

    The inaugural release incorporates Emmer wheat, an ancient Egyptian grain rarely seen in modern stills. Aged for nearly 12 years and bottled at 94 proof, the fragrance is fresh and nutty, with notes of orange zest, hazelnut, cinnamon, and caramel. The palate presents a well-balanced amalgamation of sturdy oak, sweet honey, and orchard fruits, culminating in a multifaceted oak-centric finish enriched by hints of baking spice and leather.
