Crafted in celebration of Suntory Whisky's centenary, the Hakushu 18 Peated Malt is an assemblage of meticulously chosen malt whiskies, all aged for a minimum of 18 years in various casks. The blenders at Hakushu Distillery skillfully incorporate peat while tempering the palate with the exceptional mountain water of the region, filtered through ancient granite rocks. This centennial Hakushu Peated Malt, refined and elegant, introduces a subtler smoke that is never overpowering, in true Japanese fashion—more intricate and gentle. The outcome is a welcoming hint of spice and pepper, a gradual emergence of smoke revealing herbaceous notes and underlying green fruity tones.
